  • Cancellation Policy: Both Pilates/Yoga and Massage appointments require a 24-hour cancellation notice. You will be responsible for full payment if an appointment is cancelled in under 24-hours. We really prefer to avoid charging clients a cancellation fee, so please call or text to let us know if you are unable to attend your scheduled session.

  • Noise and Childcare : We strive to keep a peaceful studio atmosphere so appreciate you keeping your cell phone on 'silent' during your session. Since we do not have a dedicated space for childcare, and due to liability concerns, we are unable to allow children who are not signed up for an appointment in the studio.

FAQs  : Yoga and Pilates

  • What should I wear? Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to easily move. Usually a pair of leggings or running shorts with a liner is ideal, along with a tank top/sports bra for the women. We advise to avoid clothing that is excessively baggy or loose, since it tends to get in the way, especially when working on the Pilates equipment. Wearing somewhat form fitting clothing is also preferred so that we are able to see your form and alignment well. Pilates and Yoga movements are typically done without shoes, although some people prefer to wear Toe Sox, which have a bit of non-slip grip on the bottom.

Please avoid wearing lotions and/or perfumes before your appointment.

  • Do I need to bring a mat? You are welcome to bring your own Yoga mat if you prefer. If not, we are happy to provide you with one.

  • What should I expect to experience in a Private or Duet session? Both Yoga and Pilates sessions are customized to fit each individual's movement and fitness goals, in addition to what they need on that particular day. If you are looking for a faster paced, athletic conditioning style of class, we are happy to make you sweat. Or if you prefer to go slow and reach more of a Zen state, we can program a fluid, flowing class for you. No matter which style of workout you prefer, you can expect to feel your deeper, stabilizer muscles engaged, and your body to be challenged. Our focus on alignment, form, and coordinating breath with movement will always be at the heart of each session. We want you to walk away feeling balanced and energized after each session.

FAQs : Massage

  • What should I wear? This is purely a matter of preference and comfort for the client. Some people are fully nude during the massage, while others prefer to wear a pair of underwear. Regardless of which you choose, a drape/sheet will be used at all times so that only the area of the body being worked on is exposed. We want all of our clients to feel safe and relaxed throughout their treatment.

Please avoid wearing lotions and/or perfumes before your appointment.

  • What type of massage lotion/ oil is used? It depends on what type of massage you want/need. We will either use an all-natural, unscented Vegan massage lotion, or coconut oil which provides more of a glide. Both are easily absorbed into the skin. For myofascial release massage and cupping, no lotion or oil will be used in order to have traction on the skin.

  • What is Kinesio Taping? How long will it stay on? Kinesio Taping is a rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body's natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints, without restricting the body's range of motion, as well as extending soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy/massage. The tape is latex-free and wearable for several days at a time. Kinesio Tape is safe for populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric and successfully treats a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, and other medical conditions. By targeting different receptors within the somatosensory system, Kinesio Tape alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. This lifting affect forms convolutions in the skin, thus increasing the interstitial space and allowing for a decrease in inflammation of the affected areas.
